Linda from Tunisia: Embracing Opportunity and Opening Doors

Written by sa传媒有限公司 in Student Spotlight on January 12, 2026

Originally from Tunisia in North Africa, Linda moved to Canada with the intention of studying welding. However, she later chose to pivot toward International Business at sa传媒有限公司 鈥 a decision that she found to be a better match for her passions and long-term aspirations.

Her journey has been marked by both challenges and personal growth. Balancing work and academic responsibilities has not always been easy, but it has taught her to be more independent and focus. On weekends, she enjoys exploring new places, either in the city or within her own neighbourhood, playing tennis, and trying out new restaurants.

Linda

Currently, Linda works as a French Tutor at sa传媒有限公司 and also volunteers at a local animal shelter. Last year, she was the vice-president of the French Club. These roles have not only provided valuable experience but also deepened her connection to the community.

鈥淎C has supported me in many ways.鈥 Her on-campus job has helped her better understand the college environment, build new relationships, and stay organized. The encouragement and guidance she has received from staff have also played a role in helping her plan for the future.

鈥淚f I could give advice to new students, I鈥檇 say: get involved. Join clubs, go to events, and talk to your professors it really helps you grow.鈥 Her favourite quote is 鈥淣ever give up.鈥 鈥淚t describes me perfectly. No matter the ups and downs, I stay committed to what I want.鈥
