Today we are featuring a student from Zimbabwe, Lisa Chaurika! Ever curious about global perspectives, Lisa is currently studying towards an Associate of Arts degree with a focus on International Relations.
With a passion for learning about other cultures, languages, traditions, and customs, studying in Canada was the obvious choice. As one of the most multicultural countries in the world, Canada is the perfect country to learn about global perspectives.
Paired with a world-class education, it鈥檚 no wonder Lisa chose to further her education in Canada and deepen her understanding on global relations.
Vancouver is also a beautiful city with one of the mildest winters in Canada, making it one of the best places in Canada to study in, especially for those familiar with warm temperatures year-round like Lisa.
However, Lisa still warns those who come from hot countries like Africa that the winter will still be much colder than what they鈥檙e accustomed to!
With her sights set on the future, Lisa already has an idea on what she wants to do next. She plans to take the next step in her education by transferring to a university and eventually obtaining a master鈥檚 degree.

In the meantime, Lisa is focusing on her studies at sa传媒有限公司. One of the things she loves about studying at AC and one of things she recommends to new and current students is the Writing and Learning Centre (WLC).
The WLC offers free one-on-one tutoring for a variety of subjects so students can get the support they need for their studies – something Lisa is incredibly grateful for while she studies towards her dream career.
