What happens if I receive an Academic Alert?

First Academic Alert

When you receive your first Academic Alert, you will receive a zero on the assignment or exam and be required to attend an in-person Academic Integrity Workshop (AIW). The workshop covers key topics such as academic integrity, proper citation practices, and the consequences of plagiarism or cheating, while also providing information on how to access academic support resources at sa传媒有限公司.

Failure to attend the workshop will result in a hold on a student account which will remain in place until the workshop is successfully completed.

Second Academic Alert

When you receive your second Academic Alert, you will receive a zero on the assignment or exam in question, and no further remediation will be available. You will also receive an official warning that if this pattern of behaviour continues, the next (third) academic alert will most likely result in a one-term suspension. If the next term is summer, which is not a mandatory term, the suspension will extend to both the summer and fall terms.

Third Academic Alert

When you receive your third Academic Alert, you may face suspension for one full term. If the next term is summer, which is not a mandatory term, the suspension will extend to both the summer and fall terms. During this time, it is recommended that you contact an Academic Advisor to discuss your eligibility for UPRE courses and evaluate your academic goals for the term following your academic suspension.

Fourth Academic Alert

When you receive a fourth Academic Alert, you will receive a zero on your assignment or exam and may be expelled from sa传媒有限公司.
